With a Master of Interaction Design from The University of Queensland and over 4 years of experience.
I specialise in using AI and machine learning to optimise user interactions, enhance personalisation, and deliver intuitive, data backed design solutions. Why solve a problem without first understanding its entire landscape? Every meaningful design begins with curiosity. In the discovery phase, I engage deeply with users, stakeholders, and the market to understand motivations, behaviours, and friction points. It’s not just about what users say they need; it’s about identifying what truly matters. Using collaborative workshops and journey mapping, I lay the foundation for clarity, empathy, and direction.

Define - Alignment with Purpose

How do we ensure we’re solving the right problem with the right intent? In this stage, insight becomes intention. Synthesising research, I articulate core problem statements, prioritise opportunities, and align them with business and user goals. This is where ambiguity starts to fade and vision begins to sharpen. It’s also where constraints transform into creative frameworks that guide the solution ahead.

CoCreateAI - Intelligence by Collaboration

How do we elevate the design process by collaborating with intelligent systems? This is a methodology I’ve developed CoCreateAI, a human AI co design framework that integrates generative AI, behavioural data, and design intuition from the ground up. At this stage, AI tools assist in rapid ideation, user flow generation, predictive UX patterns, and even visual storytelling. Rather than replacing human creativity, AI becomes a collaborator challenging assumptions, offering scale, and accelerating iteration. The result? Smarter prototypes, deeper personalisation, and better outcomes faster.

How does an abstract idea evolve into a trusted, tangible experience? Armed with direction and intelligent insights, I translate concepts into refined, testable solutions. From wireframes to pixel perfect UI, this phase is about orchestrating visual design, interaction, and system thinking. Collaborating across agile teams, I bring experiences to life through functional prototypes, rigorous usability testing, and development-ready handoffs, ensuring every touchpoint delivers real value.

Reflect & Evolve - Ethics by Design

How do we ensure our solutions remain ethical, inclusive, and future resilient? The journey doesn’t end at launch. I revisit every design decision through a lens of ethical responsibility, especially where AI is involved. Were we inclusive? Did we challenge bias? Are our systems transparent and safe? Through iterative feedback loops, audits, and stakeholder reviews, I continuously refine products and practices to stay ahead of change and in tune with values.

I designed, wrote, and built every part of it myself, and I treat it as an example of how I think about experience, structure, and detail when I have full creative ownership. Hope that gives you a decent sense of how I work.

What drives me as a designer these days?

For me, it’s always been about people, what they need, what they feel, and what makes something work for them.

I’ve worked across startups and enterprise teams, and juggled multiple jobs during my Master’s, and even then, the thing that keeps me excited is the same, figuring out how to make something click for someone else.

I get especially fired up in collaborative spaces, where there’s room to bounce ideas, challenge each other, and co-build.

I’ve noticed I leave those sessions buzzing with new thoughts. That energy pushes me to do better, iterate faster, and offer more meaningful solutions.

How has my perspective on design evolved over the years?

When I started out, I saw design mostly as execution, like, “make it look clean, make it intuitive.” But after leading teams, studying full-time, and handling real-life chaos (shoutout to Coles + startup + thesis mode).

I’ve realized good design is more strategic than I thought. Now, I try to step back and ask: Is this solving the right problem? Is this aligned with the bigger picture?

I'm more comfortable with ambiguity now, more confident saying “Let’s not build this yet,” and more focused on how design ties into business, tech, and user realities.

I guess I just see the whole system better.

How do I use AI in my work if at all?

Yeah, I use AI, but not in a flashy way. It’s more like a helpful assistant in my process. I'll use Chat GPT to refine UX copy, Mid Journey to play with mood boarding, or Figma AI to knock out a quick flow.

But I don't rely on it blindly. At the end of the day, AI can't replace judgment, or empathy, or lived experience and that’s what I bring to the table.

For me, it’s about knowing when to speed things up with tools, and when to slow down and trust your gut.


If someone had 30 seconds to get to know me, what should they know?

I'm someone who’s worn a lot of hats designer, team lead, student, freelancer, researcher and I think that mix has taught me how to stay calm in chaos and stay creative when things aren't perfect.

I don't pretend to have it all figured out, but I'm the guy who'll show up, ask the right questions, listen, and put in the work.

If I don't know something, I'll learn it fast. And if something’s broken, I'll find a way to fix it or reframe the problem entirely.
